Edition 98: On Unf*ckwithable

If you’re not sitting up with either curiosity, shock or annoyance then you probably didn’t read the subject of this week’s newsletter.

Unf^ckwithable? Seriously? Is that even a word?

“When you are truly at peace and in touch with yourself. Nothing anyone says or does bothers you and no negativity can touch you.”

Not to be confused with “Don’t f^ck with me”, which is more of a I-am-betterthan-you mindset.

I came across this term in a Fast Company article: How becoming a kinder version of yourself boosts productivity.

In this article, the author cites Vishen Lakhiani, cofounder of Mindvalley, who talks about the keys to achieve equanimity every day which are compassion, gratitude and unf^ckwithability.

In this 45 minute video on three ways to be unf^ckwithable, Vishen talks about three ways to achieve this state and brings in experts to show you simple ways to achieve them:

  1. Hack your past with Radical forgiveness

  2. Hack your present with Mindfullness

  3. Hack your future with Realising you are enough

I highly recommend watching the video from start to finish for some powerful lessons.

We learn how achieving each of these has a positive impact on your physical and emotional wellbeing.

Forgiveness improves the condition of your heart.

Mindfulness has a long list of benefits to your health including, most importantly, longevity.

Self-esteem has an incredible impact on your body which allows you to go out and achieve incredible things.

Forgive.

Feel enough.

Be present.

This is going to be one of my biggest goals for 2023. I don’t struggle that much with forgiveness. I can easily forgive and move on. But I do struggle with validation and presence. I would love to reach that state in which negative comments don’t bother me and I certainly want to be less distracted and more present every day. I’ll be looking to build these two practices a lot more in the coming year.

Over to you now:

  • What do you think of this provocative term - love it or hate it?

  • What might you achieve in your life if you could become more unf^ckwithable?

  • Are there people you know who own this characteristic? What can you learn from them?
