We live in a world spoilt for choice in every aspect. Getting a job is extremely difficult because there are hundreds of overqualified and seemingly similar candidates for any opportunity.  Differentiating yourself is the need of the hour. This is why your personal brand matters so much.

The concept of personal branding was first popularized by Tom Peters, one of my favourite business authors, in an article by Fast Company in 1997 titled “The Brand Called You” in which it was clear that everybody – not just celebrities or CEOs – needed to craft their image.
